ABOUT...

The Confetti Cakery was born from a complete obsession with baking, cakes and all things wedding related - I am Sophie Taylor and I am the head baker, chief decorator and creative director at The Confetti Cakery!

My wedding cake style would best be described as contemporary, creative and bold; taking inspiration from weddings, fashion, art and nature to design beautiful and original wedding cakes.

I am passionate about creating beautiful and delicious wedding cakes, and I take great pride in my ability to listen to clients' ideas and inspirations to create the most unique and amazing wedding cakes. I strive to present a couple with a bespoke wedding cake that not only looks good; but tastes fantastic too, and that is still talked about years later! 

BACKGROUND...

After a career working in Healthcare for nearly ten years, I had dreamt of the opportunity to turn The Confetti Cakery in to a full time business - so when I had the chance I leapt at it, and I haven't looked back since!The Confetti Cakery is now in its second year of business, and I'm so excited for what the future holds!

Throughout the last eight years I have taken numerous cake classes and tuition in Sugarflowers and Cake Decorating, worked on creative design skills and concentrated on furthering my technical abilities. I continue to work on my professional cake decorating skills, embracing all of the new trends and skills in the cake decorating world.

I'm never happier than when I'm listening to clients' inspirations for their wedding! For me baking and cake decorating is an absolute passion (and borderline obsession!) and I wouldn't have it any other way. I always feel so honoured when a couple chooses The Confetti Cakery to be a part of their Wedding day, from our first meeting to the end product - I will always listen to you and create something that reflects and combines all the important aspects of your amazing day. 

THE CONFETTI CAKERY'S ETHOS...

I'm constantly striving to make sure that The Confetti Cakery is as friendly as it can be to the environment, and reducing our footprint. This includes reducing waste, using environmentally friendly cleaning products, and using as many local and British products as I can. I think it's fair to say that I'm a bit obsessed with recycling (I know- maybe I should get out more!), and I have a preference towards using good products that are manufactured with recyclable materials where possible..

WHERE...

The Confetti Cakery works from a registered home kitchen in Grantham, in rural Lincolnshire. Supplying cakes and favours to Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland, Leicestershire, Cambridgeshire and beyond.
